Powder coating car or motorcycle wheels is a popular and effective method for refurbishing the wheels and adding durability.
Our process at BNC involves stripping back the wheel to bare metal by strip-dipping and shot blasting. Once blasted and sanded back to a smooth state we apply a dry powder coat to the surface of the wheel.
The powder is electrostatically charged, which causes it to “stick” to the wheel’s surface which ensures every part of the metal wheel is covered. The coated wheel is then transferred into an oven, where the powder is baked to form a smooth and protective final product.
